The Swing

We sold the baby's swing today. Much to my dismay. Every inch of my being did not want to let that darn swing go. I sat there and cried looking at it as I waited for Joel to come take it to the van. I know it's not really the swing itself that I am so upset about. The swing is merely another symbol of babyhood. And its departure is just something else telling me that I won't have a "baby" much longer. Yes, Grayson will be my last child, and I tell myself that is why all of this is bothering me so much. When I gave birth to him, I didn't think that him being the youngest would bother me at all. I would be "relieved" that he is my last. And don't get me wrong, I don't want anymore children. I'll be glad when I STTN and there or no more diapers to change. Well, actually, maybe I'll be crying over that too! LOL

It doesn't make anything any easier knowing that just yesterday Gray stood alone on several occassions for the first time either. Here's a couple pics of the swing I'll miss so much. Look at my sweet little baby. :o(

Mother's Day

We spent Mother's Day at my brother-in-laws house. Joel's parents came there also and his grandmother. My SIL's parents made it as well. She has 3 young children of her own. So all together we had 10 kids 8 and under. It always makes for an interesting and fun time. Raylee and made me a craft with little stones imbedded in it. It looks like an outdoor pot holder. I need to take a picture because I can't describe it well and it's pretty. ;o) Brayden had planted a flower for me at school and made a card also. All in all it was a nice day.

On Friday, I was invited to Mother's Day Tea with Brayden at his school. They had made us these placemats with a page full of questions our children had answered about us. It was so cute to read the answers. Apparently, I am a size 5 and I weigh 47 lbs. My favorite TV show is Spongebob and I like Mac and Cheese. ;o) We had cookies with our tea, and then Brayden accidentally spilled his on me. LOL After tea, we watched a slideshow the teacher had put together for us. We each got to take a copy home. Raylee had the same Pre-K teacher and they had done the same thing when she was in her class. So it was interesting to come home and compare the answers.

Here I am!

Once again, I've been slacking and its been forever since I've been here to say anything. I have been busy and actually had some stuff to blog about but just never took the time to do so.

First off, my husband's brother and his wife had their twins on March 31st. Both girls, both small but healthy and they spent only 5 days in the hospital. They were actually released on their mother's birthday which she was very happy about. ;o) They joined their two older sisters at home, who are 3 and 5. Mommy and Daddy have their hands very full right now but I know they wouldn't want it any other way. At their one month check up they weighed 6.1 and 7.1. I have no recent pics but will get some soon. This was taken in the hospital. Caigan is on the left and Reagon on the right.

My mom came to visit us for just a few days. I wish she could've stayed longer but it was great to get to see her. The kids miss her so much, as do I. Joel came home off the job a couple days before she left, so I was able to spend some time with her, sans kids. We went to the casino, and out to eat. Talked alot and enjoyed each other's company. I missed her before she left.

Then came Easter. We spent Easter with Joel's family over at BIL's house so it would be easier on them with the babies being so small. We all had a nice day and the kids hunted eggs and of course had a blast. The pictures below are from that. I love the picture of Joel with the kids. It's just perfect since he's looking at me, Grayson's looking at him and the older two are lookin at Gray. ;o) I love them all more than any words could express.

We just recently got back from a trip to Nebraska where we visited some of my family. But, I will save that for another day.
